Chris Scorer
Education Director
Chris is the Education Director at Koru Education UK. Chris has worked as an Education Consultant with most of the major school groups around the world, including Nord Anglia Education, Wellington Group, Dulwich, GIIS, International Schools Partnership, FOBISIA, English Schools Foundation and others. Chris is a regular on the speaking circuit, having spoken at the COBIS Annual Conference 2025, FOBISIA Leadership Conference 2023 and 2024 and Wellington’s Festival of Education (China and Thailand) 2024. Most recently, he has guested on Education Leaders Podcast – a global, chart topping podcast to discuss best practice in education leadership. Chris was awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching for his contribution to the wider debates in education in 2024. Chris has an MA in Educational Research from Durham University, where his focus was the efficacy of teacher training.

Shane Leaning
Shane Leaning, co-founder of the Work Collaborative and host of the Global Ed Leaders podcast, specialises in empowering international school leaders to create confident, capable teams and foster resonant organisational change. Shane is experienced in helping schools streamline their strategic planning, develop leadership capabilities, and implement evidence-based approaches that drive meaningful and lasting improvements in education. Shane is also a best selling author with the book Change Starts Here, co authored with Efraim Lerner. Together, they shed light on how to make change effective and lasting.
Shane is the man that inspired Chris to leave the corporate world and put his ideas to use in a wider context. Shane and Chris are colleagues and friends and that all stems from their shared values in education and beyond.
Ceilidh Leisure
Literacy Consultant

With over 13 years of teaching experience across Europe, Ceilidh brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and international perspective to every classroom and consultation. Having taught in British and American school systems from Key Stage 1 through Key Stage 3, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including Subject Lead, School Librarian, and Head of Elementary.
Armed with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and a Master’s degree in Children’s Literature, Ceilidh blends academic expertise with a genuine passion for books. She believes that fostering a love of reading is one of the most powerful tools educators have to inspire young minds. Now based in the Czech Republic, Ceilidh works as a Literacy Consultant. Whether supporting schools with curriculum development, leading professional training, or working one-on-one with students, her mission is simple: to ignite a lifelong love of learning—one book, one lesson, one learner at a time.
Chris worked with Ceilidh in Italy and she was and remains one of the most inspiring teachers he has met.
